Weekly Announcements

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

God bless you and may the intercessions of the Mother of God be with you on this day, the leavetaking of the feast of her Entry into the Temple!

We are just a little over two weeks away from the celebration of our Parish Feast Day on December 25th. I am looking forward to celebrating the day of our patron Saint Herman of Alaska – who has watched over this parish for over 40 years now. We will be blessed to have his Eminence Archbishop KYRILL presiding at the Liturgy that morning. As I appealed to you all at the end of the Liturgy yesterday, we really need everyone’s help to make this day a success. Please take a look at the sign-up site and see where you can contribute: St Herman of Alaska: Please help on St. Herman's Day, December 25th 2025 Thank you for your assistance!

On Wednesday of this week at 7pm, we will have our Bible Study class via Zoom. The link is:  https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89738164102.

Catechism class will be held Thursday at 6pm. These classes are open to all and cover a variety of topics about the faith and allow time for any questions to be asked. The Zoom link is: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81421729353

On Saturday, December 13th, we will celebrate the first-called Apostle of our Lord, St Andrew. This is the Namesday of our dear Father Andrew Gliga. Liturgy will be served at 9am that Saturday morning. The following provides some good background regarding this great Apostle of our Lord: Apostle Andrew, the Holy and All-Praised First-Called / OrthoChristian.Com

Saturday afternoon at 2pm in the Church Hall we will continue with our study of the lives and teachings of the Church Fathers. These pastoral summaries of the lives of some of the great saints of Orthodoxy throughout the centuries are proving to be very informative and edifying. All are welcome to come join us!

Sending you blessings,

Fr Martin
